Dining
Later, savor three-course, candlelit dinners which are created by our own Chef Brian O’Neil. Brian is a ten-year veteran of the Inn, and his dishes have been described by guests as “delightful”, “fabulous”, and “the best we’ve ever had!”. Meals are hearty yet refined, and the best-quality ingredients are always used. Click here to view Chef Brian’s three-course sample menu, which changes nightly. Attire is always casual.
Dinner Service at the Inn is available most evenings, except Sundays, in our restaurant. However, the restaurant is open on Sunday evenings before a Monday holiday. It is also closed on Wednesday evenings during the winter season. If you have not made a reservation with us for dinner on the night of your arrival and you wish to do so you must contact the Innkeepers by 12:00 that day. Our Chef prepares only enough food for the guests that we know we are serving in order to keep waste to a minimum. In 2010, 2011, and 2012 the Black Bear Inn was granted Wine Spectator Magazine’s “Award of Excellence” thanks to it’s interesting and wide-ranging wine list. Each wine in the 130-bottle selection has been carefully chosen to complement Chef Brian’s cooking style, and all are priced reasonably rather than with the high-markups typical of most restaurants. Our staff is always eager to make suggestions on a bottle to complement that evening’s meal.Click here to view the current list. Perhaps you would like to retire to a more intimate setting. We have a well-stocked bar that is the perfect place to gather with friends and reflect on the day’s events. |
